I planted a small color for you
It grew into a thing of glory Symbolizing what was once between you and me. And I tasted the wind for you I've flown a little with it too. Now that you're gone, I experience life for both of us. I smelled a rainbow yesterday The freshness brought inner peace I hope you feel the happiness I feel now. I touched a bit of joy today Soft, honest and good. I also felt a tear today for knowing you won't feel this joy again, I saw the glowing light today Yet, I still do as I've always done. I've grown color Tasted the wind Smelled a rainbow Touched upon joy And most of all I've known you. I'll love your legacy for all tomorrows. Jennifer Baxter |
